Children’s Services

With over 55 years of expertise, Waypoint helps children throughout southern Maine, meet their social, emotional, and academic needs while supporting their families through all stages of development.

With the best professional team, we offer a special purpose private school (Fraser Ford School) for children in preschool through fifth grade with autism and other developmental and intellectual disabilities; a year-round inclusive daycare program for typically developing children between the ages of two and a half to five; as well as children’s case management and children’s clinical services.

In building a life filled with a sense of belonging and self-confidence, we support children and their families on their journey.

Fraser Ford School

At Fraser Ford School, your child will gain a sense of belonging and comfort with their peers and teachers. We are excited to welcome children and families into the Waypoint community. With access to the best and most knowledgeable professionals, tailored support plans, specialized therapies, a nurturing environment, and creative and physical outlets to connect with others, children can develop and use practical tools to help them recognize their fullest potential.

Special Purpose Private School

We are pleased to offer a place where students feel supported and empowered daily. Waypoint is certified and licensed to provide a year-round educational and behavioral health day treatment program for children with autism, social-emotional, and other developmental needs. Proud to offer an inclusive environment for Pre-K through grade 5, our certified special education teachers use the latest evidence-based techniques to help your child succeed.

Waypoint Kids Preschool and Daycare

It’s a big moment the first time you bring your child to school. We welcome you to this milestone at our warm and supportive facility with a hug and smile. Waypoint Kids offers a licensed, year-round, and inclusive daycare program for typically developing children between the ages of two and a half to five. Our trained and certified staff provides a caring and nurturing environment for young children, and it’s a gift to watch them grow and develop as they become kindergarten ready.

Case Management and Care Coordination

When you have a child (birth to 21 years old) with an intellectual disability, behavioral  health disorder, autism, or other developmental delays or disability, you are eligible for care coordination or children’s case management services. We deeply understand the challenges, and emotions parents face along this journey. The Waypoint team helps you locate necessary services, access essential resources, and secure support. In helping your child thrive the most, you must also help yourself. We are here for you.

Waypoint is licensed by the State of Maine Department of Child Care Licensing and the State of Maine Department of Health & Human Services for Outpatient Therapy and Community Support Services. For referrals to the Fraser Ford School, please call us at 207-490-6849.
